Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne:] or [pa:dUko:nborn on January 5, 1986) is an Indian actress that is mostly in Hindi films. She is one of the most highly paid actresses in India And her awards comprise the three Filmfare Awards. Time magazine named her one of 100 influential people across the world in 2018. In addition, she was awarded with the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone had the honor of being the youngest daughter of badminton winner Prakash Padukone. Padukone was born in and grew up in Bangalore. When she was in her teens she competed in badminton championships, including national competitions. In the end, she quit the sport to pursue a profession as a fashion stylist. Soon after, she was offered films and began her acting career in 2006 with the title character of the Kannada movie Aishwarya.
