Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also directed films like Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Her family was a middle class one in Los Angeles, she harboured many dreams in her early years. Her mother was a movie enthusiast and urged her to enjoy films when she was a kid. Paula participated in co-curricular school activities and was especially interested in drama. She played with her classmates as well as participated in school's productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School produced a number of plays. The actress decided that acting was her preferred career. She was in the University of Southern California's summer program, and enjoyed it immensely. She was awarded the PBS three-month project to film documentaries. After she had completed the assignment in three months Her first assignment was in the field of production of television documentaries. After completing her assignment, she started producing documentary films. Though she loved her job, she still dreamed of becoming an actress. She started her career in acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star for the love story Hitch. Her roles have since been seen in numerous films as well as TV shows.
